About This Course

Once you have completed your Certificate II in Security Operations, this is the course that you should complete when adding the Monitoring function to your security licence. While it is no longer a licensing requirement to complete this course, employers may require it as it gives you the skills and knowledge that you need in order to complete the role of a Monitoring Security Officer.

If you are interested in gaining the knowledge and practical skills to work effectively as a security control room operator, using and maintaining monitoring equipment, identifying and responding to incidents, reporting and more. Through our combination of theory and practical, you will receive extensive training on the legalities, reporting, responsibilities and an overall introduction to positions in CCTV monitoring, duress alarm monitoring, intruder alarm monitoring, and more.

For security guards who already have their licence, and only need to complete the modules to add specific functions to their licence, we also offer 1-day courses in the areas of Bodyguarding, Cash-in-Transit, and Handcuffs & Batons. Cost is $150 per function. Alternatively, complete the 5-day full Certificate III in Security Operations course which covers Bodyguarding, Monitoring, Cash-in-Transit, as well as training to prepare you for supervisory or management roles.
